As every year, iol took part in the LIEGE science park Intercompany Run, held in support of ELA, the association dedicated to fighting leukodystrophies.
For the past 20 years, on the first Friday of June, companies from the LIEGE science park have come together for this sporting and charitable event, which has become a true annual tradition. The iol team has been participating in the run for several years and, since 2016, has also been hosting a refreshment station along the course, right in front of our offices.
Creativity is part of our DNA, so we enjoy turning this stop into a unique experience for the runners. Each year, we imagine a new theme to surprise participants and create a welcoming, memorable moment in the middle of the race.
For this 20th edition, we created the “Prohibit-iol”, an immersive experience inspired by the Roaring Twenties. A playful nod to this anniversary edition: the 20th edition, the 1920s… and a decoration “strictly for those over 20”! From the décor and accessories to the photo booth, every detail was designed to transport participants into a festive and unconventional atmosphere.
Beyond the fun, this event is above all a wonderful expression of solidarity. It perfectly reflects the strong sense of community that defines the Liège Science Park and reminds us that, together, we can all help support a cause that truly makes a difference.
