iol worked with Automatic Systems to design the AS1, a solution that goes beyond the simple role of a barrier to become a genuine piece of smart infrastructure. Designed as a modular system, the AS1 adapts to a wide variety of environments: from urban car parks to motorway tolls, right through to industrial sites with the most stringent security requirements.
iol’s involvement focused on developing a coherent, contemporary and sustainable visual identity. The deliberately minimalist design seamlessly integrates illuminated signage elements, whilst highlighting the use of robust, high-quality materials such as aluminium.
The objective was clear: to create a presence that is both elegant and high-tech, capable of reassuring users whilst fully embodying Automatic Systems’ expertise and high standards.
