The initial idea was as simple to explain as it was complex to put into practice: to replace the traditional insert in a box of pralines with a component made entirely of chocolate.
iol supported Mélanie Lemmens in developing this solution by exploring various avenues and conducting numerous trials to find the right balance. The insert had to be thin enough and breakable enough to be enjoyed like a bar of chocolate, whilst remaining strong enough to protect the pralines effectively.
This process of design and experimentation transformed an element that is usually destined for the bin into an integral part of the tasting experience.
