This seated shower unit was designed to improve comfort and safety for seniors. iol managed the entire product development, addressing strict technical constraints from the outset: accessibility, stability, ease of cleaning, resistance to moisture and weight, and compatibility with serial production requirements.
Design played a central role in combining aesthetics and ergonomics within a compact volume, using materials selected for their durability and hygiene properties. Several full-scale prototypes were developed to optimize seating angles, armrest height, backrest inclination, and lateral access.
The industrialization process was anticipated from the early design phase to ensure cost-effective, efficient assembly and streamlined logistics.
